WALK A MILE IN THEIR MINDS | IN-PERSON WORKSHOP | 6:00PM - 7:30PM
What if you could feel what it’s like to be a student with dyslexia, autism, ADHD, or sensory processing challenges?
With REEL, you can. Join us, in-person on November 5th, 6-7:30pm for an immersive, eye-opening 90-minute workshop designed for parents to shift perspectives and spark change.
This simulation is a cornerstone of REEL's educator professional development workshops, where teachers gain empathy and practical strategies to better support neurodivergent and twice-exceptional (2e) learners in their classrooms. For the very first time, we're bringing this same transformative experience to the parent community, because understanding your child's lived experience is the first step to advocacy and connection at home and at school.
Through a series of simulation stations, you'll walk a mile in the minds of your neurodivergent and 2e child. Whether navigating tasks with auditory processing, struggling to write with dysgraphia, or reading with dyslexia, each experience offers a window into the hidden barriers your child faces every day. After the simulations, we’ll come together to reflect, share insights, and co-create inclusive strategies to transform empathy into action.
You’ll walk away from our workshop with:
“A ha” moments and a deeper understanding of your 2e child’s lived experience
Evidence-based strategies to support their learning journey
Actionable tools to advocate effectively with teachers and schools
This is more than a workshop—it’s a mindset shift.
