Are you the parent of or do you know a “2e” child - one who is bright yet struggles with learning differences? Curious to know how we can better leverage these children’s strengths to develop their talents and reach their full potential?

Join us for a FREE screening and discussion of the newly released film, 2e2:  Teaching the Twice Exceptional. Director Thomas Ropelewski will be on hand for the post-screening Q+A, where we’ll explore how to bring some of these strategies to our Palo Alto community.

WHEN & WHERE:Thursday, November 29Gunn High School, Little Theatre (Studio Theatre)780 Arastradero Road, Palo Alto7:00 p.m. screening - ALL are welcome - parents, community members, and educators.  Please RSVP at teaching-the-twice-exceptional-7pm.eventbrite.com

ABOUT THE FILM:1 in 4 PAUSD educators report that the needs of twice exceptional students who have an IEP aren’t being met (May 2018 PAUSD Special Education Evaluation: Staff & Parent Survey Results). It can be complicated to support these complex learners - bright and creative children who also experience learning disabilities ranging from anxiety, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders to dyslexia, dysgraphia, and more.

The new film 2e2: Teaching the Twice Exceptional showcases the strengths-based, personalized, and student-centered learning environment of Bridges Academy, an LA-based school focused on educating twice-exceptional students.

Brought to you by the Palo Alto Educators Association (PAEA), the Palo Alto Community Advisory Committee (CAC), and Resilience and Engagement for Every Learner (REEL).We can’t wait to see you there!
