2e Parent Support Group May 2026

Guest Speaker: This May session will feature guest speaker Rosa Varela, educator and IEP advocate, speaking about Academic Path for 2e Students: Planning for College: This presentation addresses the importance of obtaining an in-depth understanding of students' neurodivergent traits and the nuances of how these manifest in students’ profiles and academic performance. We will cover the importance of identifying and individualizing the precise accommodations and tools required to foster academic success and personal well-being. Finally, we will explore how to apply this knowledge using a strength-based model to chart a long-term path for college admissions and success in higher education.

We will then continue the session with interactive discussions and the opportunity to join breakout rooms to share your own parenting 2e questions and thoughts.
