About the event
Join us for a learning simulation to experience firsthand the challenges children with learning differences, dyslexia and/or ADHD face on a daily basis with reading, writing, and processing.
Palo Alto educators are invited to attend this hands-on simulation, which involves a series of stations that allow you to see learning through these students’ eyes. Understanding students’ experience is an essential part of addressing behaviors and needs associated with day to day learning challenges.
We will be joined by Athena Academy’s Head of School and Director of Admissions who will also touch on best practices in working with students with learning disabilities, dyslexia, and twice exceptionality. Athena Academy is a Palo Alto school for children with dyslexia.
This event is brought to you by PAEA, in partnership with the Palo Alto CAC and REEL.
