About the event

Long description here

Students enrolled in Bridges Graduate School will be conducting qualitative interviews based on an area of interest they have in the field of twice-exceptionality and its related research as partial fulfillment of the course requirements in RES 722: Qualitative Methods during spring semester, 2022.

This assignment requires the graduate student to select a participant who is willing to be interviewed based on a series of questions related to this student’s research questions. The graduate student will record the interview so it can be transcribed and coded for the purposes of reporting preliminary findings related to the research topic. The data gathered will be used for the completion of a class project.

The specific course requirements are determined by the instructor of the course and are based on confidentiality. The participant’s name, school and district or any other identifiable information will not be disclosed and will be confidential. The purpose of this assignment is to give a Bridges Graduate School student first-hand experience in understanding how qualitative data are gathered and coded when a qualitative research approach is used in the design of a research study.

You are being asked to be interviewed about the paths of success which have led to you where you are professionally today. We will discuss how you discovered your talents, strengths, and interests, and how you nurtured them. This study is being conducted at participant’s offices and over Zoom. This study is being conducted by: Abby Kirigin in the Bridges Graduate School.

You were selected as a possible participant because you have self-identified as a neurodiverse adult who has found success in your chosen professional field for at least 5 years.

Please read this consent form and ask any questions you have before agreeing to be in the study.
